The petition of Nancy Sellers, a resident of your Parish with due respect represents unto your Honorable Court that she is the surviving spouse of Thos. Sellers, Decd., late of your Parish. That she is also the mother and Natural Tutrix to the minor children (the issue of Thos. Sellers, Decd. and your petitioner): Martha, Anna E., Sarah, and Ellar Sellers. Your petitioner further represents that the said Thos. Sellers, Decd. left an Estate of community property consisting of real and personal property, rights, credits and debts and that no inventory has been made of said Estate. Your petitioner therefore prays that an order do issue from your Honorable Court directing W. C. Smith, Parish Recorder and Ex Officio Notary Public to take an inventory of the said property and after said inventory has been made that your petitioner be qualified Natural Tutrix to the minor Martha, Ann, Sarah and Ella. Also that Elisha T. Sellers be appointed Under Tutor to said minors and for all other orders and decrees necessary in the premises and for general relief. Geo. H. Ellis, Atty. Smith, Parish Recorder and Ex Officio Notary Public be authorized to make an inventory of said Estate and return thereof make to this office without delay and return after said return has been made that Nancy Sellers be qualified Natural Tutrix of her minor children and E. Tompkins, parish Judge in and for the Parish of Union, State of Louisiana and to me William C. Smith, Recorder and Ex Officio Notary Public in and for said Parish and State directing, authorizing and commanding me to make an inventory and appraisement of the property, rights and credits belonging to the Estate of Thomas Sellers, Deceased, late of the Parish of Union, State aforesaid and whereas I repaired to the late residence of said deceased and being assisted by George W. Reynolds and Charles W. Hodge, males of lawful age and domicile who being duly sworn by me as appraisers and in presence of lawful and competent witnesses proceeded to make said inventory and appraisement as follows to wit: Tract of land situated in the Parish of Union known as the late residence of said deceased numbered as follows: Tract know as the [unreadable] tract numbered as the East ½ of South West ¼ and North West ¼ of South West ¼ of Section No. 23 Township No. Nineteen Range No. one East containing one hundred and twenty acres more or less and the West ½ and NE ¼ of NW ¼ Section 26 and NW ¼ of SE ¼ Section 26 T 19 R1 East containing one hundred and sixty acres more or less.
