This the deed for a sale of slaves in Union Parish: 
Two (2) slaves were bought by my Great-great-grandfather, a girl named "Dianah" 
and a boy named "Martin," for the sum of $1525.00 on December 22th, 1852. 
Wiley Cook gave these same (2) two slaves to William McC. Moore and his new bride, 
Elizabeth Cook, for a wedding present. Both deeds are recorded in the courthouse at 
Farmerville, Union Parish, Louisiana.
