The petition of Robert Toler, a resident of said Parish respectfully represents that William N. Toler, Decd. of said departed this life about Dec. 1867 leaving an Estate consisting of real and personal property and the following heirs being his legitimate children to wit: Robert, James, John, Charles and Jasper Toler, all minors. Petitioner represents that there are no credits due by the Estate and that an administration is unnecessary. He represents that he is the maternal Grand Father of the said minor heirs and by law entitled to be appointed Tutor, their mother being dead. He therefore prays for an order for an Inventory and Appraisement to be made according to law, that he be appointed Tutor to said minors and Hiram J. Toler Under Tutor and for such other orders and decrees in the premises as may be necessary. H. Regenburg, Atty. State of Louisiana 11th Judicial District Court Parish of Union The premises considered, it is hereby ordered that the prayer of petitioner be granted and that Robert Toler be and he is hereby appointed and confirmed as Tutor to the minor heirs of Wm. N. Toler, Decd. upon his taking the oath required by Law and further that Hiram J. Toler be appointed Under Tutor to the said minors. Done and signed in office this 21st of January AD 1868. J. W. Reid Clerk, District Court State of Louisiana 11th Judicial District Court Parish of Union The premises is considered, it ordered that William Smith, Recorder and Ex Officio Notary Public proceed to make an Inventory and Appraisement of all the property belonging to the Estate of Wm. Toler W. C. Smith, Recorder Robert Toler To the honorable the Judge of the Eleventh Judicial District Court in and for the Parish of Union, Louisiana. The petition of Robert Toler a resident of parish Tutor to the minor heirs of Wm. N. Toler respectfully represents that a part of the property of said minors is personal property subject to waste, deterioration and loss and expensive to keep and that it would be to the interest of the minors that the same should be sold with out delay. He therefore prays for an order to sell all the personal property left the said minors by their deceased father and for such other orders in the premises as may be necessary. H. Regenberg, Atty. I hereby approve of the [blank] of Robert Toler, tutor and recommend that the sale be ordered as prays for. Hiram J. Toler, Under Tutor State of Louisiana 11th Judicial District Court Parish of Union Let the prayer of petitioner be granted and by reason of the Under Tutor having approved therein, it is ordered that all the personal property belonging to the Estate of Wm. N. Toler, Decd. sold in accordance with Articles 990 & 991 of the Code of Practice and it is further ordered that Robert Toler, Tutor to the minor heirs of the said Estate make said sale and due return thereof make to this office as the law directs.
