There being no newspaper published in said parish at the time and read the said advertisement in a loud voice and made the terms of sale fully understood to those present, I offered for sale on Tuesday the 16th day of January 1866 between the legal hours of sale at Marion, La. The building in said town of Marion that is the lower story of the building known as the Masonic Lodge building together with the lot on which it stands to the last and highest bidder for cash and after crying the same a sufficient length of time, Samuel Martin & B.
