R. Roberts administrator of the Estate of Sheppard and Dicey Wood, Decd., residents of said State and Parish respectfully represents that he has herewith filed a full and final account of Administration of the said Estate of Sheppard and Dicey Wood, Decd. from which it appears that the balance due by the Administration is [blank]. Petitioner further avers that John Wood, who was the only child and heir of said Sheppard and Dicey Wood, Decd. and who was a minor at the time of the issue of Letters of Administration to Petitioner has since died leaving an infant child which has also died and Harriett Wood mother of said child and wife of John Wood has also died. John Wood died first, his child next and his wife last. There being no descendants and no Collateral Relatives within the fourth degree as prescribed by the Laws of Louisiana. Petitioner further represents that there is above but one ascendant in the reversed degree to said deceased Infant and to Harriett Wood, Decd. viz. Wesley Jones the father of said Harriett Wood, Decd. and the Natural Grandfather of said deceased Infant. Petitioner therefore alleges that said Wesley Jones is the just and lawful heir of said Estate C.C. Art. 901, 2, 3 & 4. Wherefore Petitioner prays that this his final account be advertised according to Law and after the legal delay it be approved and homologated and that judgment be given as recognizing the said Wesley Jones as full and sole heir to said Estate, that all parties in interest be duly cited hereto for all orders and decrees necessary in the premises and for General Relief. Dr. The Administrator charges himself with the Admr. of the Inventory of said Estate made by Wm. C. Smith Recorder & filed Dec. 3rd 1860 $1141.50 The Admr. found the Estate indebted as follows and the debts being just he has paid them and made a credit for the accts. King with Interest, See voucher No. 2 11.66 Acct. of William Willhite, See voucher No. 3 27.24 Note paid to Henry Simmons, See voucher No. 4 45.00 Acct. of & for the support of John Wood While tutor to him as a minor, See voucher No. 5 325.00 Attorney’s fee, See voucher No. 6 50.00 Clerk’s fees, See voucher No. 7 69.60 Recorder’s fees, See voucher No. 8 24.00 Commission for Administering @ 2 ½ percent On $1141.00 __28.53 $610.13 Printer’s fee __15.50 $625.53 Recapitulation Amt. of Debits $1141.50 Amt. of Credits __625.53 Balance in hand of Admr. $ 515.97 State of Louisiana 11th Judicial District Court Parish of Union It is ordered that the within final account of W. R. Roberts as Administrator of the Estate of Sheppard & Dicey Wood, Decd. be advertised according to Law. Done and signed in office this 19th day of February AD 1866. Thos. C. Lewis Clerk, District Court State of Louisiana Parish of Union In the matter of the Homologation of the final account of W. R. Roberts as Administrator of the Estate of Sheppard and Dicey Wood, Decd. 1st Vouchers filed with said account 2nd Thos. C. Lewis, Clerk of the District Court sworn says that the said final account and vouchers were filed in the Clerk’s Office of the Parish of Union on the 19th day of February AD 1866 and has been duly and legally advertised for more than thirty days prior to this date in the following manner to wit: By publication in the Union Record a newspaper published in the said Parish of Union, La. and by a copy of the advertisement for opposition being posted at the door of the Court House in the Town of Farmerville and that no opposition has been filed in the homologation of the same. Thos. C. Lewis Sworn to and subscribed before me this the 2nd day of June AD 1866. H. Regenburg I do hereby certify the above to be all the evidence adduced on the Homologation of the Final account filed by W. R. Roberts as Administrator of the Estate of Sheppard and Dicey Wood. Lewis Clerk, District Court State of Louisiana 11th Judicial District Court Parish of Union By reason of the Law and the evidence in this case by further reason of the proper and legal advertisement having been made and no opposition having been filed to the Homologation of the same, it is ordered, adjudged and decreed that the within and foregoing final account filed by William R. Roberts as Administrator of the state of Sheppard and Dicey Wood, Decd. be allowed, approved and homologated in all its parts according to Law. Done and signed in office this 2nd day of June AD 1866.
