The petition of John G. Wright and Elizabeth Wright, residents of your said Parish and State respectfully represents that Drury M. Wright, late of said Parish departed this life on or about the 31st of August 1862 in said Parish leaving slaves, land and other personal property, rights, credits and debts and one minor child to wit: Stephen D. M. Wright and a widow one of your petitioners. John G. Wright represents that he is a creditor and that Elizabeth Wright is the surviving widow of said Drury M. Wright, Deceased. Wherefore they pray that due and legal proceedings be had that an Inventory be made and that on a final hearing they be appointed administrators of said Estate, and that Elizabeth Wright be appointed and confirmed as natural Tutrix of her minor Stephen D. M. Wright and John Wright Under Tutor and for general relief. C. A. Heard, Atty. State of Louisiana Parish of Union It is ordered that the within application be advertised and that W. C. Smith, Recorder &c an inventory of the property of said Estate and due return make without delay. Done and signed in office January 6th 1863. J. L. Wright and I, Elizabeth Wright do solemnly swear that I will faithfully and impartially discharge all the duties incumbent on me as Co Administrator of the Estate of Drury M. Wright have this day been duly and legally appointed Co Administrators of the Estate of Drury M. Wright, Decd., they having given bond with good and sufficient security and taken the oath prescribed by law. Now therefore, the said J. G. Wright and E. Wright is duly authorized and empowered to do and perform all and singular the duties appertaining to said appointment according to law. Given under my hand and the seal of said court February 16th 1863. J. L. Wright and Elizabeth Wright as principals and Thomas Wright and John Green as their securities are held and firmly bound unto W. B. Egan, Judge of the 11th Judicial District Court, Parish of Union, Louisiana in the just and full sum of Twenty thousand dollars to the true and faithful payment well and truly to be made, we bind ourselves, our heirs, assigns and legal representatives firmly by these presents. Dated Farmerville, La. February 13th 1863. The condition of the above obligation is such that to here as the above bounden J. W. Wright and E. Wright has this day been duly and legally appointed as Administrators of the Estate of Drury M. Wright, Decd. having taken the oath required by law. Now therefore, if the said Co Administrators shall faithfully perform all the duties incumbent on them in said capacity and shall account correctly to the Judge of said court for all monies or other property of whatsoever nature belonging to said Estate and shall render yearly a true and correct account to the judge of all their acts in said matters and when legally required so to do pay over all sums of money or other property of whatsoever nature to the proper person or persons to receive the same, then this obligation to be null and void, otherwise, to be and remain in full force and virtue. Smith Parish Recorder State of Louisiana Parish of Union Be it known that on this the 13th day of February AD one thousand eight hundred and sixty three in pursuance of an order of the Honorable 11th Judicial District Court in and for the Parish of Union and State of Louisiana. I, William C. Smith, Parish Recorder and Ex Officio Notary Public in and for the Parish and State aforesaid directed commanding me to make an Inventory and Appraisement of all the property both real and personal, rights and credits belonging to the Estate and Succession of Drewry M. Wright, Deceased, late of the Parish of Union. I repaired to the late residence of the said Drewry M. Wright and being assisted by Stephen S. Heard and Charles F.
