Spears & John P. Spears for and in consideration of Four Hundred Dollars the receipt thereof is hereby acknowledged Gave granted bargained and sold & conveyed unto David M. Jameson his heirs and assigns forever the following described lot or parcel of land situated in Spearsville in Section thirty one township Twenty Two Range Three West bounded as follows commencing at the South East Corner on Section line runs one chain 31 links to quarter stake continued North two chains thirty links thence west 15 ¼° South five chains 10 links then South 15 ¼° East two chains 8 links thence East 15 ¼° five chains 18 ¼ links to the place of beginning & in the South East Quarter of said Section containing one Rod & 12 poles to the said D.M Jameson & the said W.L. Spears & Bro their heirs & assigns shall & will forever warrant & defend against the lawful claims of all persons whomsoever, Done & passed in the presence of J.R. Goyne and H.J. Tignor witnesses of lawful age & domesticated in said Parish this the Sixth day of January AD One Thousand Eight Hundred & fifty seven. W.L. Spears & Bro D.M. Jameson Test J.R. Goyne H.J.
