Elias George, who was one of the first parish settlers. He built the home in which Mrs. Alice Hopkins now resides in Marion. It was one of the first permanent homes to be built in this section. His name is well remembered in Marion and the entire parish for the many sermons he preached. The above picture was taken late in Rev. George's life." Rev.
