Hudson transcribed this information from the original records and donated it to the Union Parish Archives in August 2004. ================================================================================== BEARDEN POST OFFICE ESTABLISHED: 15 Dec 1902 HISTORY OF BEARDEN POST OFFICE: Office ordered closed 19 April 1906, effective 14 May 1906, with mail forwarded to Farmerville. POSTMASTERS: James B. Cole, 15 Dec 1902 - 13 May 1906 [Office closed effective 14 May 1906, with mail forwarded to Farmerville.] ================================================================================== COMMENTS: Bearden Post Office was located in southwestern Union Parish, some few miles across Bayou (now Lake) D'Arbonne from Farmerville, apparently on Highway #33 from Farmerville towards Ruston. It was approximately located in Section 11, Township 20 North, Range 1 West. ###########################################################
