POSTMASTERS: Ellen Ryan, 10 Apr 1901 - 14 July 1902 [office ordered closed on 26 June 1902, effective 15 July 1902, with mail forwarded to Lillie.] ================================================================================== COMMENTS: This is another of the post offices that grew up along the first railroad laid in Union Parish, the line from Junction City through Lillie, Bernice, and then south into Lincoln Parish. Ryan was located on the railroad a few miles south of Lillie in approximately Sections 12/13, Township 22 North, Range 3 West. ###########################################################
