M. Thompson, 1 Mch 1890 - 1894 [Office moved to Claiborne Parish by 1894.] ================================================================================== COMMENTS: Weldon is located on the far western border of Union Parish, and the community straddles the Union and Claiborne Parish line. The Union Parish portion is in Section 30, Township 23 North, Range 3 West. The post office remained open in Claiborne Parish through 31 August 1907, when the mail was forwarded to Bernice. ###########################################################
