1851 Democratic Nominations from Union Parish Louisiana

Democratic Nominations—The Democrats of West Baton Rouge have nominated R. C. 
Wickliffe for the Senate of U. B. Phillips for the House.

   The same party in Union parish nominated D. S. Collier for the House, and 
expressed their preference for R. W. Richardson for the Senate, and W. W. Farmer 
for Congress.

   In Ouachita the Democrats have nominated C. H. Morrison for Representatives in 
the State Legislature.

                                 Louisiana Election.

Union — the vote of Union parish is for Bordelon, 477; Porter 421.  This is 
probably decisive of the election of Bordelon. In Union, Moore for Congress has 
118 majority, and Ray for the Senate 13; Carr, Whig, is elected to the House.
