McCranie founded the 'Weekly Telegraph' in Monroe, Ouachita Parish beginning in September 1865. In mid-December, he decided to change the name to the "Ouachita Telegraph'. Warmoth "and party" are announced to speak at Monroe on the 8th, Farmerville on the 11th, Homer on the 13th, and Shreveport on the 15th of this month. It is supposed that the "party" is made up of Capt. Sheridan, who has acquired the reputation of a first-class buffoon, and accompanies His Excellancy as a sort of side-show.
