P. Huff postmaster. This place was formerly known as Spearsville, and is now headquarters for Greenback men. ================================================================================== ================================================================================== NOTE by T. D. Hudson: "Records of Appointment of Postmasters" indicates that the Bethel Springs Post Office officially opened on 4 December 1877 with James B. Huff as postmaster. He served until 18 February 1879, when Alfred J. Ward took over.
