                           Poisoning Fish.
                               ________

  The grand jury now in session should make a rigid and close investigation to 
ascertain and indict all the parties who have been guilty of putting poison in 
the streams of the parish for the purpose of catching fish. We are advised that 
so much poison has been put in the upper D'Arbonne and Cornie, as to kill stock 
and swine that drank of the waters. This is a dangerous step, and it merits the 
earnest attention of the grand jurors.
