A. K. Notes -------- Spearsville, La., Dec. 12, 1897. Mrs. Abe Henderson has been seriously ill this week but seems to be improving. The Ladies Aid Society has decided to give an entertainment on WEdnesday night before Christmas. All are invited. Mrs. Mason has been visiting the family of her son, Prof. G. W. Mason. She returned home Saturday. E. L. Frost, woh has been attending school at this place, returned home Thursday on account of ill health, but intends to enter school again as soon as his health will permit. Mr. E. A. Buckley has sold his steam mill, house and lot to Messrs. Pickens and McDonald, and moved out on his farm about a mile from town. Dr. Harrell and wife visited relatives and friends near Oakland last week. Our society is glad to welcome Mr. J. S. Green into its membership. Mr. Joe Carroll's family have been quite sick.
