  The Demoractic executive committee of Union parish met in the town of Farmerville 
on November 16th, 1897, and was called to order by the chairman, Jas. M. Smith. 
Members present as follows: 

R. B. Dawkins, 
J. D. Everett proxy for B. T. Hopkins, 
W. S. Agerton, 
J. A. Carroll, 
W. F. Grafton, 
R. M. Gill, 
John Donley proxy for E. T. Sellers, 
J. M. Smith.
