T. Nelson, of Cherry Ridge settlement, informed us last Wednesday of quite a serious accident that happened in his section recently. Messrs. W. L. Johnson and Willie Jones were sawing down a pine tree, and in the fall the tree flew back, striking Mr. Johnson's leg, serious lacerating it and fracturing the bone. Mr. Jones was struck back of the head by limbs and had his wrist terribly mangled. The blow knocked him senseless, and it was feared for a while that he would not recover. Mr. Nelson says both men are doing as well as could be expected. ###############################################################################
