F. Post brought to our office Monday very fine specimens of sweet potato and ribbon sugar cane. The potato was raised by Mr. H. H. Rockett, and Mr. Post says it weighted eight pounds when dug. The cane was grown by Mr. G. W. Bruton, Jr., and the sample sent us was fully nine feet tall. Union parish this year has certainly tried to overdo herself in the way of bountiful crops of all kinds. ###############################################################################
