Only a few months ago the site of Lillie was a cultivated field; but now it has been transformed into a bustling little business point, having a large saw mill, several stores with good stocks of merchandise and a number of spacious residences. ================================================================================= NOTE: The post office at Lillie officially opened on 11 October 1899, with Benjamin F. Post as the postmaster. He served in this capacity until 1915. ###############################################################################
