The democratic executive committee of Union parish met in Farmerville, Aug. 18, 
1902, and appointed the following commissioners to hold the congressional primary 
election Aug. 28th:

Ward  1 - W. P. Chandler, John Odom, T. C. Atkinson
Ward  2 - Francis T. Malone, Wess Ward, J. M. WArd
Ward  3 - J. A. Peek, J. W. Montgomery, L. P. Kirkpatrick
Ward  4 - C. T. Simmons, Jim Nettles, John Gresham
Ward  5 - Joe Daniel, W. F. Usrey, W. T. Tugwell
Ward  6 - John Williams, Lee Tatum, John Ramsey
Ward  7 - Spearsville - Will Spears, John Murphy, A. B. Henderson

NOTE: The wards used above do not match the standard ward designations used 
in the 1860 - 1930 Union Parish censuses. There was an alternate ward designation 
used between the early 1880s and early 1900s in tax records, and the above 
ward designations match those.
