The rainfall of Thursday, Friday and Saturday in this vicinity was 8.18 inches. The 
down-pour of Thursday afternoon was the heaviest within the recollection of the 
oldest citizens here. Many bridges were washed away, farm lands and roads were 
badly torn up.
