We could not learn any further particulars. ================================================================================== NOTE: This Widow Meeks is undoubtedly one of two women who lived in the Colson neighborhood, the region around where the Ward's Chapel Road intersects the modern Highway 2 heading towards Sterlington on towards Crossroads, some ten miles east of Farmerville. One possibility is that the Widow Meeks was Harriett Ann E. Auld [Hartie, Harty] (24/25 Dec 1835 – 27 Jan 1914), the widow of Joseph Anderson Meeks (6 May 1830 – 19 Jan 1899). The other possibility is that Widow Meeks was Harty Auld Meeks' daughter-in-law, Permelia Elizabeth Auld [Betty] (Feb 1860 – after 1930), the widow of Harty Auld Meek's son, John Jordan Meeks [John Jurd] (c1857 – 1898/1900). ###############################################################################
