Both women are serving life sentences, having been sentenced May 2, 1919. Mrs. Lockwood made an appeal to the board that her mother was not responsible for the death of her father and that she should be freed to return to her babies at home. She is the mother of eight. The board was unable to find sufficient cause for clemency. ##################################################################################
