Richardson, of Union parish, met a sad death a few days ago. In company with Dr. Hines, he was riding along the road, the two going to see a patient. Dr. Hines observed the top of a large tree falling, and cried to Dr. Richardson to look out, who at once spurred his horse forward. He, however, was too late to clear the reach of the limbs, and one striking him on the head felled him to the ground, death ensuing in three hours afterward. Dr. Richardson was well known and beloved in this vicinity, and his funeral was the occasion for general expressions of regret by all in his neighborhood. He was the brother of Dr's. T.P. & W.H. Richardson, of this parish. A devoted wife and five children are bereaved by his death. # # #
