P. Bolton of Shiloh, of Union Parish Louisiana From the Farmerville "Gazette"; issue of Wednesday, 23 May 1894, page 3, column 1 ================================================================================== ================================================================================== THE GAZETTE regrets to learn of the death of Mr. E. P. Bolton, which sad event occurred on Thursday in Shiloh at the residence of his son-in-law Mr. R. J. Tabor. Mr. Bolton had been in failing health for a long while and had been gradually sinking for months. He was about eighty-six years of age at the time of his death. He was a valuable citizen and during a long life made a correct record for himself in both public and private life. The deceased leaves a number of children and grand children to mourn his death. He was the father of Mr. G. W. Bolton, the present Speaker of the House of Representatives of this state. ================================================================================== NOTE: Elisha P. Bolton (4 July 1809 - 17 May 1894) was buried in the Shiloh Cemetery. Also buried there was Eliza Bolton (15 Sept 1809 - 13 Feb 1887), born in Columbia County Georgia, and C. I. Bolton (8 Oct 1844 - 13 Feb 1862), presumably Elisha's wife and child. ##########################################################################
