We regret to learn that Mr. W. K. Rushing, an old and highly esteemed citizen of 
this parish and the justice of the peace of the seventh ward, is now dangerously 
ill at his residence in Spearsville.

Mr. W. K. Rushing, an old and respected citizen of this parish, and justice of the 
peace of the seventh ward, died last Friday at his residence in Spearsville. His 
remains were interred in the Spearsville cemetery Saturday. Mr. Rushing was sick for 
only a week, but during that short time suffered great agonies from the virulent 
attacks of the disease with which he was afflicted. He leaves a wife and several 
children and grand children to mourn his sudden death.
