Tabor, wife of Dr. T. J. Tabor, died at her home in Minden, LA., Oct. 25, 1896. Mrs. Tabor was the daughter of Judge Wm. P. and Mrs. Elizabeth Cherry, formerly of Jasper County, Miss. She was born September 12, 1843, making her age at the time of her death 53 years, 1 month, and 11 days. She moved with her parents to Union Parish in January 1860. She professed religion and joined the Missionary Baptsit Church at Spearsville, La., in 1872, during a meeting conducted by Rev. S. T. Cobb. She was married June 11, 1871, making 25 years, 4 months, and 14 days. Her husband and two daughters, Della and Lizzie, and a foster son Charles, still survive her. She has a host of relatives in both Louisiana and Mississippi. Mrs. Tabor was a pure christian, a noble wife and an affectionate mother. None knew her but to love her, she was always ready to work for the comfort of those around her. She was charitable and loving in disposition and was never known to speak evil of any one. She lived a life of usefulness and has gone to live with the angels. A few hours before she died her husband told her that the symptoms in her case was unfavorable and asked whether she had anything of importance to talk about. Without the slightest emotion she expressed herself as resigned to the will of the Master and died trusting in the Lord Jesus as her Savior. Her husband and children feel the blow but are willing to submit to the divine edict of Him who doeth all things well. # # #
