M. Vance, of Farmerville, Union Parish Louisiana From the Farmerville "Gazette", issue dated Wednesday, 19 August 1896, page 3 ================================================================================== ================================================================================== After an illness of a few weeks with swamp fever, Mrs. R. M. Vance died at her husband's home, 6 miles northwest of Farmerville, last Saturday. Her remains were carried to Monroe Sunday for interment. The deceased was a native of Cuba, and she moved to this parish with her husband about eighteen months ago. She leaves a devoted husband sad young son to mourn the loss of an affectionate wife and dutiful mother.
