D. Hudson) "Died. Mrs. Clarinda Ham, nee Seale, May 30, 1897, at the residence of Mr. D. N. Kennedy, 4 miles east of Farmerville. Was born in North Carolina in Nov. 1812. She with her husband, Mr. Wm. Ham, moved to Union parish La., and has resided here ever since. Monroe Evening News will please copy." ---------------------------------------------------------- Added by Timothy D. Hudson: [Note: Clarenda Seale was the daughter of James Seale (1769-1860) of Cumberland Co. NC, Fairfield Dist SC, and Butler/Lowndes/Autauga Cos. Alabama. Clarenda Seale was born in Fairfield Dist SC, not North Carolina as the obituary states. Moreover, census records indicate she was born in 1811, not 1812. I have many records on her ancestors and descendents.] # # #
