J. Everett, relict of the late Eld. J. P. Everett, died at the residence of her son-in-law, Rev. R. M. Boone, at Alexandria, last Friday morning in the 64th year of her age. Mrs. Everett was seized with a severe attack of cholera morbus early Thursday morning and about the same hour the next day she breathed her last. Her remains were brought to Farmerville Saturday evening, and laid to rest in the cemetery here Sunday afternoon. Rev. A. W. Vardeman, pastor of the Alexandria Baptist Church, accompanied the remains here, and also officiated at the funeral. The sad news of Mrs. Everett's death was quite a severe shock to her relatives and friends here. They had no intimation of the distressing intelligence until Saturday afternoon - - several hours after her death - - when a telephone message from Walnut Lane brought the sad tidings that the corpse was en route to Farmerville for burial. The grief-stricken relatives have the sincere sympathy of the entire community. # # #
