"Allie B. Thornton, wife of Malon H. Thornton, was born in the state of Georgia, 
March 11, 1825; died February 21, 1898, aged 73 years 11 months and ten days. 
Sister Thornton was baptized into the fellowship of the Baptist church, while young, 
in the state of Georgia; moved to this state with her husband. Shortly afterwads she 
joined Bethel church, but later transferred her membership to another church, of which 
she was a consistent member until her death. She preceded her husband to the grave one 
month and one day. Blessed are they that die in the Lord; yea, saith the spirit, they 
rest from their labors and their works do follow them.
