Accidentally Killed.
---
A Deplorable accident happened near Haile, La., one day last week when J. W. 
Langford, a young man of about 16 years of age of that place was shot and killed 
by Blake Haile, a young man about the same age. It seems that the young men were 
out duck hunting and were crawling up to get a shot at a flock of ducks that were 
feeding near by. Haile was behind Langford and in some way his gun was accidentally 
discharged and the whole load of shot took effect in Langford's side. The wound 
did not kill him instantly but as they were about four miles from home young 
Haile left him to go for assistance and when they returned he was dead. No 
blame is laid on Haile, as the young men were the best of friends and there 
is no doubt but what the killing was entirely accidental.
