On last Saturday, April 16th, after an illness of many months duration, there passed from this life one of the noblest ladies who ever lived – Mrs. Kate Rabun. Her death occurred at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. R. P. Webb of Monroe, where she has been making her home for several months past, and her remains were laid to rest in the old Trenton graveyard beside those of her husband, Capt. John M. Rabun, who preceeded her to the grave many years ago. Mrs. Rabun was a life time resident of Farmerville and vicinity and was nearly 71 years of age at the time of her death. She was a lady of many fine qualities of mind and of heart and held the love and esteem of all who were fortunate enough to know her. Mrs. Rabun leaves to mourn her four sons and one daughter, who are: Messrs M. W., J. A. B., and Adolphus Rabun of this place; Mr. James Rabun of Tex. and Mrs. R. P. Webb of Monroe, to whom we extend our sincere, heartfelt sympathy. ================================================================================== Farmerville "Gazette" issue of 27 April 1910 ================================================================================== Mrs. Georgia Fenton returned home last Friday from Monroe where she has been for several weeks past nursing Mrs. Kate Rabun. ================================================================================== Farmerville "Gazette" issue of 11 May 1910 ================================================================================== Zion Hill.
