On Jan. 29, 1912. The angels of death visited the home of Mr. David Nolan, his death was a shock to all in the community. Being 52 years of age the time of his death. He leaves a wife, eight children nine brothers, six sisters, a number of relatives and friends to mourn his lost [sic]. A step is hushed and a voice is heard no more around the dear old home. Weep not dear ones he is only crossed the river to meet the loved ones who have crossed over before. It was pleasure to go to the home where happyness [sic] reigned. May God bless the little father-less children who are left alone in this sad world, but all of us shall meet Him in the sweet beyond, where there will be no more sorrow, and no more good byes in that sweet home up there. He was a good man and every one that knew him loved him, but how soon can our people be taken away from this earth, God has only called him away from us to the shining throne above. May we all be prepared to meet him in the sweet by and by. There was an angel bond in Heaven not quite complete so God took away our loved one to fill the vacant seat. We loved him, yes we loved him, but Jesus, loved him more and so he sweetly called him to Heaven's shining shore. We shall sleep, but not forever, there will be a glorious dawn we shall meet to part no never on that happy resurection mourn. A Neice [sic]. ###########################################################
