L. Haile, of Haile, La., which occured quite suddenly at Liberty Church last Sunday. His death, it is thought, was due to acute heart disease as he died while sitting in the church during services. Mr. Haile was a leading citizen in the eastern part of this parish where he spent all his life. He took an active part in every movement that he considered for the betterment of his country, his state and community, and upon every public question you could always count upon finding him on what he conscientiously believed to be the right side of the question at issue. There are but few citizens in Union Parish who fill as important place in their respective communities as Sam Haile filled in his. He had a large circle of friends who had known him for years and who esteemed him highly, all of whom will receive the news of his sudden passing with poignant regret. ===================================================================================== NOTE: Samuel Lorenzo Haile (14 June 1851 – 16 June 1918) was born in Union County Arkansas, the son of Robert A.
