R. Ogden', when her name was actually 'Mrs. W. R. Ogden' ================================================================================= DIED Mrs. N. R. Ogden[sic] aged 75 years, 3 months, and 18 days, died at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. W. L. Rockett, Wednesday morning at 5 o'clock, leaving a husband aged 77 two sons and two daughters--Mr. J. M. Ogden, Mr. J. R. Ogden, Mrs. W. L. Rockett, Mrs. J. A. Templeton and a host of friends to mourn her loss. A good woman has gone to her reward and while we sorrow after the earthy ties are broken, we rejoice in the triumph of her life. Her faith was as simple and beautiful as that of a little child. She lived for her family and for her church. She was not afraid to go out to meet her God, for she had hope that all would be well with her. She was a faithful member of Primitive Baptist Church. Her faith was strong. Now I believe she is sleeping in Jesus where nothing can molest her peaceful rest and far away from all the many troubles and afflictions of this life. She is safe on the other shore. Mother, yes dear mother, sweet be thy peace while the years of eternity roll. God has called her home to enjoy the reward of her inheritance which is pure and undefiled and which fadeth not away, but shall be forever at rest. Her body was buried at Spearsville cemetery in the presence of a large number of friends and relatives, the funeral was conducted by her pastor, Elder W. K. Smith and Elder Rhodes. Written by a loving daughter, Mrs. W. L. Rockett. ================================================================================= Comments: Sarah Ann Elizabeth Breazeal (Brazeal, Breazeale), known as 'Liza' or 'Eliza', was born in Tuscaloosa County Alabama, the daughter of Hosea Bright Breazeal (5 Apr 1813 - 19 Oct 1891) and Sarah Elizabeth Mayfield (17 June 1819 - 9 Jan 1888). Liza's parents moved to the Caledonia Community of southern Union County Arkansas in about 1858. After the war, in 1867 they moved a few miles south to the region just north of Spearsville in northwestern Union Parish Louisiana. On 8 April 1875, Liza Breazeal married William Robert Ogden (7 July 1852 - 28 Dec 1942). They lived near his parents in southern Union County Arkansas south of Hillsboro until the winter of 1879 - 1880, when they joined Liza's family in Union Parish near Spearsville. After just a few years, the Ogdens again returned to south Arkansas, living and working the farm of Bill Ogden's mother, Elizabeth J. Blanks Ogden (1832-1891). They remained there until 1899, when they left Arkansas for good and settled near Sarah's siblings north of Spearsville. ###########################################################
