Wortham Cann, 68, died at a hospital in Monroe Wednesday of last week after an illness of several days resulting from a heart attack. Mr. Cann was born near Farmerville and was a member of one of the oldest and most prominent families of this section of the state. He had many old-time friends here. He was for many years a valued employee of the Missouri Pacific Railroad Company, and several years ago he was conductor on the train which ran into Farmerville. He was very popular in and about Monroe and a large crowd of friends attended his funeral in that city Thursday. Mr. Joe Ramsey, cousin of the deceased attended the funeral. ##########################################################
