She was born in Lillie, LA, and died 18 Nov 1944 in Pine Bluff, AR. The obit is out of the local paper. Her parents were William David HENDERSON and Susanna FARRAR. Mrs. Della H. ELLIOTT Mrs. Della Henderson ELLIOTT, 63, wife of the late John Wes Elliott, one of Jefferson County's veteran peace officers and resident of this city for the past 31 years, died Saturday afternoon at 4 o'clock at her home, 1113 West Barraque. Mrs. Elliott had been in failing health for the past two years and had been confined to her bed the last six months. She was born December 26, 1881, in Lillie, La., daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henderson, natives of that state. Mrs. Elliott spent her girlhood and school days in Louisiana. Following her marriage to the late Mr. Elliott about 43 years ago, the couple continued to make their home in Lillie until coming to Pine Bluff in 1913. Mr. Elliott died here on August 22, 1938. Mrs. Elliott was a member of the First Baptist Church of this city. Her interests were centered about her family and her home, always being kind and thoughtful of her friends and neighbors. The survivors: One son, Roy Elliott of Arkansas City, Ark., four daughters, Mrs. J. W. (Ruby) Stauffer of Pine Bluff, Mrs. Chas. (Lorene) Kirk of Fornfelt, Mo., Mrs. Hazel Maxwell of Marinetta, Ga., and Cpl. Penny Russell, serving with the armed forces, stationed in Italy; two sisters Mrs. J. C. Pickens of Lillie, La., and Mrs. Rosa Robinson of Jonesboro, La., two brothers, Wense and Berry Henderson of Lillie, La., six grandchildren including Miss Rubye Lee Stauffer and Billy Stauffer of Pine Bluff and a number of other relatives. Funeral services will be held Monday morning at 10:30 o'clock from the chapel of the Ralph Robinson and Son Mortuary in charge of Rev. Monroe F. Swilley, pastor of the First Baptist Church. Burial will be on the family lot in Bellwood Cemetery. Active pallbearers: Ivy Bean, Stewart Meeks, Sam B. Gore, Warren Little, J. A. Gold, Archie Starr, Dallas Grimmett and Hal Edward Lee. Honorary pallbearers: W. L. Overton, Garland Brewster, E. E. Leath, Met Galligher, Dr. Fred G. Hames, Dr. C. J. Higinbotham, Lloyd Lawson, Cliff Barnes, H. D. Pearson, George Hestand and Lloyd Herrick of Little Rock. The remains of Mrs. Elliott will be in the parlor of Ralph Robinson and Son Mortuary. # # #
