Usrey, Native of Union Parish Louisiana From the "Morning News", a newspaper published in Dallas, Texas Issue of 26 June 1951 ================================================================================== ================================================================================== Funeral Services Scheduled for Mrs. W. F. Usrey, 78 Funeral services for Mrs. W. F. Usrey, 78, Dallas resident for twenty-eight years, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Weiland-Merritt Funeral Chapet, 2909 Live Oak. Dr. Wallace Bassett will officiate. Burial will be in Grove Hill Memorial Park. Mrs. Usrey died Sunday in a Dallas hospital. She lived at 6502 Lakewood Boulevard. She was born in Union parish, La., where she was married to W. F. Usrey on Dec. 1, 1883. The couple lived there until 1923, when Usrey opened a grocery store in South Dallas. He died in 1948. Mrs. Usrey was a member of the East Grand Baptist Church. She formerly held membership in Cliff Temple Baptist Church. Surviving are three sons, M. A. Usrey and Dewey Usrey of Dallas, and W. B. Usrey of Waco; three daughters, Mrs. C. L. Farrar of Junction City, Ark., Mrs. Charlie King of Dallas and Miss Fay Usrey of Lancaster; two brothers Robert M. Hollis of El Dorado, Ark., and Carl Hollis of Farmersville, La., and eight grandchildren. Pallbearers will be David Usrey, Fred Farrar, Dale Currens, Willis Currens, J. W.
