collection of the late Ora Ward Manning, the mother of Peggy Rockett. 
Elmer H. West died 24 January 1974.

Bernice - Elmer H. West, 72, of Bernice died early Thursday at the Junction 
City Nursing Home in Junction City, Ark. after a lengthy illness.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. today at the Mount Olive Baptist 
Church near Laran with Rev. S.R. Lee officiating.
Burial will be in the Laran Cemetery under the direction of Farrar Funeral 
Home of Farmerville.
Mr. West was a native of Union Parish, a Baptist and a retired grocer.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Pearl McBroom West of Bernice; three sons 
Ray West and Wayne West both of Bernice, and Glen West of Marion; two 
daughters, Mrs. Louise Williams of Bernice and Mrs. Bernell Parker of 
Strong, Ark.; a sister, Norma McDugal of Strong, Ark.; 11 grandchildren and 
four great grandchildren.
