Please note I do not know which newspaper this ran in. This is from the 
collection of the late Ora Ward Manning, the mother of Peggy Rockett. 
Earl McBride died in April of 1977.


              Earl McBride

Spearsville- Funeral services for Earl B. McBride, 52, of St. Louis, Mo., 
will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Mt. Union Baptist Church near 
Spearsville.
The Rev. Forrest Post and the Rev. W.A. LaBeff will officiate.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery under the direction of Farrar 
Funeral Home of Farmerville.
Mr. McBride died Saturday in the St. Louis County Hospital after a short 
illness.
Mr. McBride moved to St. Louis 20 years ago from ElDorado, Ark. He was a 
native of Lafayette and was employed as an accounting systems superintendent 
at the Monsanto Co. in St. Louis.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Verna A. McBride, St. Louis; a son, 
William C. McBride, New Orleans; a daughter Mrs. Debra Ann Wenger, Columbia; 
his mother, Mrs. Natalie McBride, New Orleans; a sister, Mrs. Lena Segura, 
Houston.
Pallbearers will be Dan Adcock, Max Adcock, W.C. Boatright, Coy Upshaw, 
Billy Henderson, Murray Moore and Melvin stone.
The body will be at the church one hour before services.
