Please note I do not know which newspaper this ran in. This is from the 
collection of the late Ora Ward Manning, the mother of Peggy Rockett. 
Miss Abbot died 12 May 1978.

Spearsville - Services for Fannie Mae Abbot, 67, of Spearsville, will be 
2:30 p.m. today at Camp Creek Baptist Church near here with the Rev. Charles 
Upshaw officiating.
Burial will be in the church cemetery under the direction of Farrar Funeral 
Home of Farmerville.
Miss Abbot died Friday at Confederate Memorial Medical Center in Shreveport 
after a brief illness. She was a member of the Camp Creek Baptist Church and 
a native of Union Parish.
Survivors include here mother, Mrs. Docia Tubbs Abbot of Bernice; two 
sisters, Mrs. Maurice Meggs of McGehee, Ark., and Mrs. Eva Lunsford of 
Shreveport.
Pallbearers will be J.D. Nutt, Drew Rockett, John W. Post, Terry Foster, 
Dick Aulds, and Lavelle Futch.
The body will be at the church until time for services.
