Please note I do not know what newspaper this ran in. This is from the 
collection of the late Ora Ward Manning, mother of Peggy Rockett. 
Coy Ramsey died in December 1978.

Spearsville - The funeral of Coy Ramsey, 56, Spearsville, will be at 3 p.m. 
today in Liberty Baptist Church near Spearsville with the Revs. W. A. LaBeff 
and Charles Sweet officiating.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery under the direction of Farrar 
Funeral Home of Farmerville.

He was a native of Union Parish, a World War II veteran, and a member of the 
Liberty Baptist Church. He was a welder.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Janie May McDiarmid of Independence, 
Kan.; his mother, Mrs. Ola LaBeff of Spearsville; two brothers, Jake Ramsey 
of West Monroe and Thomas Ray Ramsey of Panorama City, Calif.; two sisters, 
Mrs. Joyce Allen of West Monroe and Mrs. Loyce Scharf of Calhoun; and two 
grandchildren.

Pallbearers will Ken Scharf, Paul Beaird, Mickey LaBeff, Kenneth Warson, 
M.L. Graham, Jr., and Junior Ramsey.

Visitation will be in the church until time of service.
