C.C (Commie) BARRETT

SPEARSVILLE - Services for C.C. (Commie) Barrett, 78, will be at 2 p.m. today in 
Mount Union Baptist Church with the Revs. Forest Post and Kenneth Everett officiating.  
Burial will be in the church cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick's Funeral Home 
in Farmerville. 
Mr. Barrett died Thursday in Triward Hospital in Bernice after a long illness. 
He was a farmer and school bus driver, a Bernice native and a member of Mount Union 
Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Marie Spears Barrett of Spearsville; daughter, Mrs. 
Fern Upshaw of Spearsville; four brothers, Virgil Barrett of Springhill, Aubrey 
Barrett of El Dorado, Ark., Thomas Barrett of Glenmora, Jewel Barrett of Bernice; 
sister, Mrs. Margurette Burt of Shreveport; three grandchildren; and five 
great-grandchildren. 
Pallbearers will be Barry Upshaw, Douglas Upshaw, James Lowery, Johnny Foster, Ronnie 
Barrett and Steven Farrar. Honorary pallbearers will be Mount Union Baptist Church deacons.
