         Mrs. Minnie L. Porter

Bernice- Services for Mrs. Minnie L. Porter, 79, will be at 3 p.m. today
at the First United Methodist Church with the Revs. Cecil Mims and Jimmy
Eppinette officiating.
Burial will be in Bernice Cemetary under the direction of Kilpatrick
Funeral Home.
Mrs. Porter died Monday in Tri-Ward Hospital after a short illness.

She was very active in area nursing homes receiving a certificate for
outstanding work and was also a Lions Club Hostess.  She was also a
lifelong resident of Bernice and a member of the First United Methodist
Church.

Survivors include her mother, Mrs. Mary Shannon Langston of Bernice; one
daughter, Mrs. Martha Porter Scoggins of Shreveport; one brother, Edgar
Langston of Woodburn. Ore.; and three grandchildren, William Scoggins,
Randal Scoggins and Andrea Scoggins.
