This is from the collection of the late Ora Ward Manning, the mother of Peggy Rockett. Max Adcock died in 1982. Max Adcock Services for Max Adcock, 49, were held at 1 p.m. Monday at Mount Union Baptist Church near Spearsville with the Rev. Forrest Post officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home of Farmerville. Mr. Adcock died Friday at his residence after a short illness. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, a graduate of Louisiana State University, a veteran of World War II and a longtime resident of Baker. Survivors include a brother, Dan Adcock of Houston; a sister, Melba Wesley of Jackson, two nephews and a niece. Pallbearers were Hez Boatright, Billie Joe Aulds, Melvin Stone, James W. Cox, Kendall West, Greg Knight, Calvin Clary, and Charles Elkins. # # #
