collection of the late Ora Ward Manning, the mother of Peggy Rockett. 
Alvin McCormick died 23 May 1986.

               Alvin McCormick 

Strong, Ark. - Services for Alvin McCormick, 85, will be at 3 p.m. today 
with the Revs. Morris Parker and Perry Ramsey officiating.
Burial will be in Laran Cemetery in Laran under the direction of Kilpatrick's 
Funeral Home in Farmerville.
Mr. McCormick died Saturday in Union Medical Center in Eldorado, Ark., after 
a long illness.
He was a Laran native, a member of the Hopewell Baptist Church, a World War 
I veteran and a member of Owens -Tubbs Post of Farmerville.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Alvin McCormick; a son Lowell McCormick of 
Baton Rouge; a daughter, Mrs. Dale Little of Ft.Worth, Tex., two brothers, 
Perry McCormick and Lee McCormick both of Monroe; and four grandchildren.
Grandsons will be pallbearers.
