This is from the collection of the late Ora Ward Manning, mother of Peggy Rockett. Mrs. Blanche E. Rockett died 26 Oct 1987. Mrs. Blanche E. Rockett Services for Mrs. Blanche E. Rockett, 71, of Spearsville, were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday October 28, at the Camp Creek Baptist Church near Spearsville with the Rev. Jack Borden and Coy Upshaw officiating. Interment followed in the Church Cemetery under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home in Famerville. Mrs. Rockett died Monday, October 26, at Pinecrest Manor Nursing Home in Bernice. She was a native of Union Parish, member of Camp Creek Baptist Church, a homemaker, and daughter of the late Rev. and Mrs. R.W. Rhodes. She is preceded in death her husband, the late Jack Rockett. Survivors include two sons, Kenneth W. Rockett of Famerville and Jerry V. Rockett of Woodbridge, Virginia; two brothers Vergil H. Rhodes of Spearsville, and Edward L. Rhodes of Spearsville; five sisters, Mable Welch of Eldorado, Agnes Holloway of Laran, Sue Bennett and Bobbie Bennett both of Spearsville, and Lynette Barron of Spearsville; and three grandchildren. Pallbearers were Clyde Barron, Ralph Bennett, Coy Bennett, Van Bennett, Scott Barron and Lee Barron. # # #
