This is from the collection of Peggy Rockett MR. MALVIN ELLINGTON CALHOUN, LA - Services for Mr. Malvin Ellington, 61, Calhoun, will be at 10:30 A.M. Saturday, August 6, 1988 at Kilpatrick's Funeral Home Chapel in West Monroe with Rev. W. H. Wallace officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery, Calhoun under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home, West Monroe. Mr. Ellington died Wednesday, August 3, 1988 at Glenwood Regional Medical Center after a lengthy illness. Mr. Ellington was a native of Lillie, LA but had resided in West Monroe for 35 years. He was a member of New Chapel Hill Baptist Church. Mr. Ellington was a foster parent for 64 children. Survivors include his wife: Yvonne W. Ellington, Calhoun; one son: Ronald Ellington, West Monroe; one brother, James C. Ellington, West Monroe; four sisters: Rowena Echols, Spearsville; Mary Echols, Valliant, OK; Birdie Railey, Fresno, CA; Mini Rodgers, El Dorado, AR; Mother-in-law: Eva Brewer, West Monroe. Four grandchildren. Pallbearers will be James Boggs, Bubby Wooten, Bill Brown, Jerral Williams, Ken McCallum, John R. Hay. Visitation will be 10:30 A.M. until 9 P.M. Friday; 9 A.M.
